Cleaning
Glass, frames, sills and tracks — cleaned properly, up to two storeys, with our own gear. And because we repair joinery for a living, anything on its way out gets pointed out while we're there instead of after it starts leaking.
What's included
A lot of window cleaning is glass only, which looks good for a fortnight and does nothing for the parts of the window that actually fail. Salt off the water sits on aluminium and eats into the powder coating, and the grit that collects in a slider track is what wears the wheels out and blocks the drainage slots that keep water out of the frame. So a clean here covers the whole unit — glass inside and out, frames, sills, tracks and door thresholds — and takes about as long as it should. It's the same house call as a servicing check, done with a bucket instead of a screwdriver, and the two are often booked together.
Why us
The advantage of having your joinery cleaned by a joinery specialist isn't the shine — it's what gets noticed on the way round. A window cleaner has no particular reason to know that a seal has come out of its channel or that a slider's wheels are flat, and no reason to mention it. We're at every window on the property with our hands on the frames, which makes it the best look at your joinery anyone will get all year.
Ground floor and first floor are both covered, with our own equipment rather than anything hired in on the day.
Where a window genuinely can't be reached safely we'll say so upfront at the estimate instead of leaving it out quietly and hoping nobody notices.
Anywhere near the water, salt build-up on aluminium is the thing that dulls the finish and, left long enough, gets under the powder coating.
Regular washing is the cheapest protection there is for joinery you've paid a lot for, and it matters most on the elevations facing the sea.
Perished seals, cracked glazing beads, stays that have lost their friction, blocked drainage, early rot in a timber jamb — all things we see every day.
You get told what we found and what it needs. There's no obligation to have us do the work, and no repair happens without you agreeing to it first.
Plenty of people book a clean and a servicing check together, which means one visit covers both the appearance and the working parts.
Rentals, holiday houses and properties going on the market are common jobs, as is a one-off clean after a build or renovation.
Tell us roughly how many windows and how many storeys, and we'll come back with an estimate. Add a servicing check to the same visit if you want the working parts looked at too.

Both, which is why someone needs to be home or access arranged. Outside-only is fine if that's all you want, and it's the usual arrangement for rentals and holiday houses.
Up to two storeys with our own equipment. Anything above that, or anything that can't be reached safely, we'll tell you at the estimate rather than on the day.
Frames, sills, tracks and thresholds are all part of it. The tracks matter more than most people realise — grit in a slider track is what wears the wheels flat and blocks the drainage that keeps water out of the frame.
Twice a year suits most houses on the Coast, and closer to the water more often is better because of the salt. Somewhere inland and sheltered, once a year is usually enough.
You get told what it is and what it would take to fix. Nothing gets repaired without you agreeing to it, and there's no obligation to use us for the repair at all.
